4 Keys to a better Your Memory

Wouldn't it be cool if you could remember all of the names of the people you meet? Or be able to quote lines from all the movies you've seen. Some are born with a photographic memory, but most are not. Just because we aren't born with this anticipated ability, doesn't mean we can't form a better memory. We may never perform a photographic memory, but we can heighten how it works and be able to support and remember more names and information.

The following four methods when applied and practiced will give your brain a workout that will heighten your memory and keep your mind sharper and ready for the world around you.

1. Start Early

Brain improvement starts at an early age, but no matter what age you are it is never too late to begin enhancing your memory.

2. Commitment

Once you conclude to better your memory and have taken the first step of starting, you must commit yourself to working on your memory. It is not just plainly working on crossword puzzles or memorizing your grocery list, you must make a full and perfect commitment to bettering your memory by changing your lifestyle and the foods and drinks you consume. This perfect convert in lifestyle will take alot of work and is difficult for many, because they do not fully commit themselves to enhancing their memory through a better lifestyle.

3. Practice, Practice, Practice

To better your memory and your brain, you have to use it. A brain that is not stimulating usually will not perform at its optimum level. Whether its the morning newspaper, a long novel, or a strategy game like chess, exercising your brain will keep it working at a top level and heighten many aspects of your brain's function like a better memory. Studies have shown that those that stimulate their brain usually through reading or puzzles or games are less likely to become senile or have Alzheimer's. Just like any good athlete, institution keeps your skills both physically and mentally at their best.

4. Visualization

Visualizing is a great way to heighten your memory. Your brain market data as pictures. These pictures are used to recall data that has been stored and needed for use at a later date. Try this, the next time you want to memorize your grocery list, try visualizing the items as pictures, not numbers or words on a page. These photograph images will stick in your brain easier if you visualize yourself picking them out at the store. Then, when you get to the store and you try to remember what to buy, your brain will recall these images and you will remember to get all of the items on your list.

With these 4 keys to a better memory you will not only heighten the function of your brain, you will perform better at home and work, sleep better, and live a ordinarily better life.
