Craftsman Reciprocating Saw (10 Amp) self destruct

Craftsman Reciprocating Saw (10 Amp) self destruct Tube. Duration : 1.17 Mins.

Outside of warrantee and with not much use my 10 Amp Craftsman reciprocating saw bit the dust. It would cost to give it to Sears Service to look at, then parts and labor. Not really worth it. They wouldn't accept it for their parts bin so I had to take it home and make this video. Lately it started spitting out bits of cast aluminum. When I took the heavy rubber cover off, the gear housing was broken and the case bolts (2) were bent. Something weird was going on. It was good electrically and the worm gear looked okay. Anyway, it is going out to the curb tonight for someone to pick up if they want a little diy project. I am not putting any money into it. I thought it was made by Ryobi but I found out when I called the store that some Chinese company (Sherzon?) made it. Now I am worried about the 3 other Craftsman tools that I have--I thought they were Ryobis too. After spending tens of thousands of dollars at Sears in the past 10 years I will go elsewhere for power tools and stick to Makita, Bosch and Ryobi. (not sure about DeWalt quality now that Black and Decker owns them)
